Citizens State Bank rang in its 100th anniversary with a full day of festivities and community pride on Friday, June 6, at its Somerville headquarters. With deep roots in Burleson County and a legacy that stretches back a full century, the bank celebrated its milestone with the people who made it all possible—its loyal customers, community partners and dedicated staff.

Since opening its doors in 1924, CSB has stood strong through a century of change—supporting farmers, weathering world wars, overcoming the Great Depression and continuing to serve with a blend of cutting-edge banking and old-fashioned, friendly service. The anniversary celebration paid tribute to that enduring legacy of resilience, progress and local commitment.

The day kicked off with coffee and breakfast, followed by heartfelt presentations from special guests and a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil CSB’s newly renovated lobby. The celebration rolled on with a classic Texas barbecue lunch, cool refreshments and toe-tapping live music—all in true hometown style.

This unforgettable event capped off a yearlong series of customer appreciation celebrations across Citizens State Bank’s branches in Burleson, Washington and Grimes Counties. It was more than a party—it was a powerful reminder of the bank’s century-long promise to serve, support and grow with the communities it proudly calls home.
