In a message posted to Truth Social on Friday, President-elect Donald Trump announced the appointment of IBAT’s Bill Briggs to serve in the role of Deputy Administrator of the Small Business Administration.

“Bill served in my first term as Acting Associate Administrator in the Office of Capital Access at SBA,” Trump said. “During his tenure, Bill helped oversee our Historic Paycheck Protection Program that saved many of our Small Businesses and millions of jobs. Bill will work with our next SBA Administrator, Kelly Loeffler, to secure the American Dream for Small Businesses, which are the backbone of our economy.”

Briggs has been a part of the IBAT family since 2023 in various capacities.

“Bill and I became acquainted during the long and arduous days of the pandemic,” said IBAT President and CEO Christopher Williston. “But we became friends and collaborators in the years afterwards. I look forward to seeing the many ways he’ll serve our country well in the role of Deputy Administrator of the SBA.”
