The Leadership Division of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) elected new board members during the 40th Annual Connecting Leaders Conference—the division’s flagship event—at Moody Gardens Resort in Galveston, June 25-28, 2025.

The board’s executive committee will be led by Chair Sarah Long, Vice President at First National Bank of Ballinger. Other executive officers named to guide the Leadership Division include Chair-Elect Zach Gilbert, Vice President Commercial Lending at Texas Bank and Trust in Tyler and Secretary-Treasurer Brad Womack, Kingsville Market President & Chief Experience Officer at Kleberg Bank in Kingsville. Immediate-Past Chairman is now Rick Jamieson, Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer at First State Bank in Gainesville.

The IBAT Leadership Division is divided into 13 regions, each of which hosts education and networking events for community bankers in the area throughout the year. Each region has its own president, who also serves as the region’s board member. Several new board members were elected to represent their region.

Rusdon Mills, Banking Officer at First National Bank of Winnsboro, is the Region 5 President; Nic Vigen, Senior Vice President – Lending at Bank of the West, is the Region 6 President; Kelsey Goates, Vice President – Market Manager at TexasBank in Stephenville, is filling an At-Large Banker position; and Sam Nunn, President/CFO/Director at Citizens Bank in Amarillo, has been chosen to fill the Chairman’s Appointment position.
