Support for Central Texas Flood Relief

Kerr County Area Flood Relief:

  • The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, a registered 501(c)(3) charity, has established the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund. Funds will go to vetted organizations providing rescue, relief and recovery efforts, as well as flood assistance.
  • Southern Oaks Church in Kerrville is seeking gift cards and monetary donations to support families. Click here to donate. Select “River Flood Relief Fund” to donate to flood victims.
  • Kerrville Pets Alive is an organization helping with the search and rescue of pets. You can help support this group with donations.
  • The American Red Cross Serving South and Central Texas has opened shelters in the affected areas. Visit RedCross.org/donate and select “Your Local Red Cross” or Disaster Relief as a donation option. You can also call (800) HELP NOW (1-800-435-7669) to donate over the phone.

Burnet County Area Flood Relief

  • The Ark of Highland Lakes is a faith-based nonprofit organization that exists to serve individuals and families in crisis throughout the Highland Lakes region. Formerly known as the Highland Lakes Crisis Network, Ark unites churches, volunteers and community partners to bring hope, healing and long-term transformation to those in need.

Travis/Williamson County Area Flood Relief

  • The Central Texas Community Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to addressing needs and shaping effective responses when needs are identified in the greater Central Texas area. Donations received will provide direct financial assistance to those in need.

  • Loans in Areas Having Special Flood Hazards; Interagency Questions and Answers Regarding Flood Insurance
  • Closing of branches:
    • Texas Finance Code §37.002 permits the closing of an office or operation by an officer of a bank during the emergency, regardless of whether the Texas Department of Banking Commissioner has issued a proclamation of emergency. The office or operation closed may remain closed until the officers of the bank determine that the emergency has ended and for any additional time reasonably required to reopen. Offices or operations may not remain closed for more than three consecutive days, excluding days on which the bank is customarily closed, without the banking commissioner’s approval.
    • Notify the TDOB by email or toll-free at (877) 893-6246 if a branch/office is closed.
