A round of applause goes to Jared Robinson, SVP, FinTech Program Manager at Legend Bank, N.A. and Steven Booker, Senior Vice President at Texas Bank in Henderson, for receiving the 2023 Building Better Bankers Scholarship. Both recipients will attend the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking (SWGSB) at Southern Methodist University and receive half the tuition for all three years of the school.
“The mission of the IBAT Education Foundation and the goal of this scholarship is to build better bankers by supporting university banking programs in Texas,” IBAT Education Foundation President Shay Iacoponelli said. “At IBAT, we’re committed to the future of community banking and recognize that quality education is key to a bank’s future success.”
Commercial loan officers, branch managers, credit analysts, cashiers, mortgage lenders, consumer lenders, operations officers, state and federal banking regulators and many more banking professionals gather each summer on the campus of Southern Methodist University for a two-week leadership development program designed to propel careers in the financial services industry.
