Question: If we do an unsecured loan, with a “purpose” of home improvement, but we do NOT have a separate loan classification for home improvement loans, is it automatically reportable under HMDA requirements, or would it be at the option of the bank whether to report this type of loan?

IBAT endorses BancVue’s REWARDChecking program
The IBAT board has endorsed BancVue’s REWARDChecking program – a free checking account without any minimum balance requirements that offers a high interest rate and ATM Fee Refunds. In order to receive these rewards, the customer must meet certain technology adoption criteria which offsets the cost of the rewards. If the customer doesn’t meet the technology adoption criteria, the account is still free and pays a little interest.
Participants should expect increased profitability through deposit growth, competitive positioning and decreased costs of serving your customers. IBAT members will receive financial discounts on both new agreements and renewals of existing agreements. For more information contact Donna Cravens at 866.342.2557 or e-mail at sales@bancvue.com. |
