Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner called on Congress to approve Treasury’s $13.9 billion fiscal 2011 budget request. In testimony before the House Appropriations Committee, Geithner said the plan would increase funding for Community Development Financial Institutions and add staff to Treasury’s offices of economic policy, domestic finance and tax policy.
