Texas Congressional Delegation Sends Joint Letter to FDIC

Thank You Texas Republican Congressional Delgation for their Joint Letter to the FDIC
Letters, e-mails and faxes from IBAT members, as well as our colleagues around the nation, have been instrumental in carrying the community bank message to the FDIC and Congress.
IBAT would like to thank the following members of the Texas Republican Congressional Delegation for their joint letter to Chairman Sheila Bair of the FDIC in regard to the impact of the proposed 20-basis-points FDIC Special Assessment. We appreciate the acknowledgment from our Texas congressmen that the vast majority of Texas’ community banks neither created nor participated in the risky and imprudent lending practices of mega-banks that have led to the erosion of the FDIC fund.
